FORREST MOURNS INJURY JINX

WEST HAM'S Canadian goalkeeper Craig Forrest has revealed that his disastrous season of injuries has not only hampered his Upton Park career, but also his international aspirations.

The Canadian international believes that being on the bench early in the Premiership campaign has severely hampered his chances of securing the Canada number one jersey for this summer's Copa America.

Forrest said: "When I am injured, it is very disappointing because not only do you miss out on club football but also on the World Cup qualifiers for Canada."

Forrest has once again lost his place with The Hammers to the fit again Shaka Hislop but he is hopeful of playing his part in Canada's important 2001 campaign, which involves the Copa America and the Fifa Confederations Cup.
