BATIGOL OUT FOR MONTH - ROMA ANGER

GABRIEL BATISTUTA has been ruled out of Roma's title challenge for four weeks after injuring his knee during Sunday's 2-0 win over Vicenza - as the argument around Brazilian call-ups rumble on.

The news comes as mild relief to Roma coach Fabio Capello, who feared he may have lost the striker`s services for the rest of the season.

Capello was upbeat after hearing the news, stating. "Roma do not depend on one player, we have many great players with a big desire to win the Scudetto."

The 54 year old coach then laid down the gauntlet to Vincenzo Montella, the player expected to fill Batistuta's boots. "This is your moment," said Capello.

Not such good news for Roma came from Brazil though. Cafu and Emerson have both been called up for Brazil's matches with the USA and Mexico on March 3 and 7 respectively.

The news has angered Roma because Brazil have agreed to release Roberto Carlos and Rivaldo from international duty so the pair can play for their respective club sides when Real Madrid meet Barcelona.

The Roma pair will miss this weekend's clash with Internazionale at the Olympic Stadium and possibly the following match when Brescia visit Rome.
