DEFENDER'S BROKEN NECK ALERT
SHEFFIELD UNITED skipper Lee Sandford may have been playing with a broken neck for the past three weeks.
Sandford, 32, will visit a specialist on Friday to determine whether or not the "excruciating pain" that the defender is currently experiencing is down to an injury sustained three weeks ago.
The Sports Science graduate commented: "Football is my job, but walking and having a decent lifestyle are far more important."
After signing for The Blades from Stoke City in 1996, Sandford has gone on to establish himself as a key figure at Bramall Lane and has been pivotal in the United defence this season.
