REGGINA DEFEAT BOLOGNA

REGGINA overcame the challenge of Bologna to register a 2-1 victory in Serie A`s Saturday afternoon encounter.

The home side took only six minutes to open the scoring, as Andrea Zanchetta saw his effort deflected into his own net by Pasquale Padalino, with the goal likely to be debited to the Bologna man.

Francesco Cozza was on the scoresheet, four minutes before half time, to double the advantage, after beating two defenders to fire home.

Beppe Signori managed to pull a goal back, from the penalty spot, when he successfully beat Massimo Taibi from twelve yards out, but it proved too little, too late for the visitors.

The diminutive forward had earlier been unlucky when his drive cannoned back off a post.
