KLOS REMAINING FOCUSED

RANGERS goalkeeper Stefan Klos has all-but conceded the SPL title to Celtic, and believes that the reason behind their failure is that they have had things too easy for too long.

The German keeper is adamant that The Gers still have plenty to play for, with the prospect of a Champions League place plus the lure of glory in the Scottish Cup to keep the players focussed.

Speaking on Scotsport, Klos said: "Maybe it was too easy for Rangers last season and that everybody thought it normal to win the league.

"Things are not going so well and just now it is a real challenge to play here.

"I also had hard times at Borussia Dortmund. It is not easy to become successful and if you do, it is not easy to keep that success.

"Next season will be a new challenge for everyone but we have to keep performing this season and I'm sure we will finish second at least.

"We can still win the Scottish Cup and still qualify for the Champions League.  This is what I am looking for and it is realistic to talk about it.

"We are currently in a very dangerous situation and we still have a lot to lose.  It is very important the team sticks together and we perform well for the rest of the season.

"It has not been the season we expected.

"I can't see Celtic dropping ten points but if we can't finish first in the league table, we must try to finish second."
