AGENT DENIES SAVIO TRANSFER TALK
SAVIO will stay in Spain with Real Madrid, at least until the summer, according to his agent Joao Henrique Areias.
The brilliant Brazilian winger has been linked with moves away from El Santiago Bernabeu, most notably with a return to his former side, Flamengo.
Last summer, Savio, who is well known for his dazzling dribbling skills, seemed set for a move to Chelsea, but this fell through as he wanted to stay with Real.
However, unlike other malcontent Steve McManaman, Savio has been unable to claim a regular place in the side.
Speaking exclusively to Planetfootball.com, Areias said: "The problem with Real Madrid is they have four internationals fighting for the same position.
"They have (Pedro) Munitis, Solari, McManaman and Savio all wanting to play on the left wing.
"Real need so many good players because they play so many games, in the Champions League and the Spanish league."
However, Areias would not be drawn on where Savio would end up.
Areias said: "Savio is contracted to Real until 2003 and now is not the time to discuss this. Maybe at the end of the season, in the summer, but not now.
"People are only saying these things because he is not playing. But he is not going anywhere, not to Flamengo nor Chelsea."
