FRENCHMEN LINKED WITH GUNNERS MOVE

FRENCH internationals Lilian Thuram and Ulrich Rame could be on the move, with Arsenal linked to both - while fellow Frenchman Zinedane Zidane could move to Spain.

Arsenal manger Arsene Wenger worked with Parma defender Thuram when he was in charge of Monaco and would love to bring the 29-year-old to Highbury to strengthen his ageing rearguard.

Another piece of this rebuilding is at goalkeeper and Wenger is reported to be interested in Bordeaux stopper Rame, who looks certain to leave at the end of the season.

However, Rame, who has replaced injured Fabien Barthez in the French squad, would like to be the number one with the World Cup approaching and not just be used as cover for the David Seaman until he retires, should he move to Arsenal.

Meanwhile, World Player of the Year Zidane, could be on the verge of a move away from the Stadio Delle Alpi.

He has already said that he would never move to another Italian club and Real Madrid and Barcelona would be the clubs he would consider.
