BOOTH COMPLETES TERRIERS SWITCH

HUDDERSFIELD TOWN have swooped to bring Andy Booth back to The McAlpine Stadium - with The Terriers believed to have paid in the region of £200,000 for the Sheffield Wednesday striker.

Booth came through the youth ranks at Huddersfield, before making a £2.7 million switch to Sheffield Wednesday, but has now made a return to the club that launched his career.

The powerful striker joins the club at a difficult time, and, having spent time recently on loan at Premiership Tottenham, will face a battle again relegation to Division Two with Huddersfield.

Lou Macari's side are currently lie third bottom in the First Division, two points behind the safety zone, and will welcome the arrival of 27-year-old to help them pick up much-needed points.

Booth has signed a three year contract with the club, although the club has yet to disclose the exact fee paid to Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Ken Monkou has left the club after the player's contract was terminated by mutual consent.
