DEGN WANTS AGF RETURN
The 23-year-old ace has been on loan at the Danish outfit since October after failing to make the breakthrough at Goodison Park since his arrival in February 1999.
The former Danish Under-21 international admitted that he will stay until his contract expires if Everton do not try and offload him as he is on a good deal at the Merseyside club.
"Now there is just one year left until the contract expires," said Degn. "In case Everton don't do their part to get rid off me, I will stay and save up because I won't get as good a contract for some time."
AGF coach John Stampe also declared that he would be happy to sign the player but that there was a situation to be resolved between Everton and the player before any move could be made.
"I have talked with Peter Degn, but there is a financial problem with Everton which we can't solve," said Stampe.
"Though we have contacted his agent John Sivebaek and hope that the problem with Everton can be solved."
AGF may face competition from AB for the player's signature with AB coach Ove Christensen keen to sign the midfielder.
