DEMETRIO ALBERTINI has been forced out of the Italy squad for Wednesday's World Cup qualifier with Lithuania.
The 29-year-old Milan midfielder picked up an injury during Saturday's 2-0 win in Romania, a victory that sent the Azzuri five points clear at the top of their group, in an almost unassailable position.
The national team coach Giovanni Trapattoni will have Francesco Totti available for selection again after the Roma star missed the Romania match through suspension, after picking up two yellow cards.
