BLANC IN CONTRACT QUANDARY

LAURENT BLANC could yet stay with Internazionale, although the length of time of his contract is yet to be determined, with conflicting reports stating one or two years.

The high-regard that Blanc is held in at Inter is highlighted by the news from Italy that the central defender could be offered a two-year deal and a place on the board of the Milan-based club.

Blanc has admitted to wanting at least a one-year deal but a contract for double that length and a directorship would certainly impress the French veteran.

Indeed, Blanc has been quoted as saying: "I am delighted," about the offer.

Blanc admitted: "Indeed, I am in negotiations with Inter and the decision could come soon.

"But the problem is that I had two other big offers, one from Italy and another one from a foreign country.

"They are also very interesting from another point of view."
