ANELKA DENIES PSG EXIT

NICOLAS ANELKA has denied he wants to leave PSG, despite being linked with another move, this time to Inter, who were reported to have held talks with the temperamental striker's agents, his brothers Claude and Didier.

Anelka left Arsenal in a blaze of publicity, having secured a move to Real Madrid, but he failed to reign in Spain, despite being integral in the removal of John Toshack from his coaching role, and last summer secured a move back to PSG, for a record £22 million.

The star striker was also suspended having refused to train with his team-mates at Real, but after a poor start in El Santiago Bernabeu, he eventually started to come good.

PSG have endured a disappointing season and Anelka has been heavily criticised for the team's poor play.

Anelka's brothers were reported to have already met representatives of Internazionale and a fee in the region of £20 million discussed.

Having only scored four times for Real, his time at PSG has been marginally better - with 12 goals, only for the player to be nicknamed 'the eternal malcontent'.

However, Anelka hit back at the reports, saying: "There is no question of a transfer.  Let me say about these rumours that I have signed with Paris St Germain for five seasons. Full stop.

"These things come around every year and someone always sees my brothers talking to a big club.

"Someone has seen phantoms because Didier is in New York and I don't believe there is a club there that wants to sign me."
