BILBAO STAR SUFFERS GROIN INJURY
JOSEBA EXTEBERRIA was forced out of Athletic Bilbao's Liga encounter with Celta Vigo by a groin problem, which has plagued him since Christmas.
The Spanish international aggravated the problem on Sunday, suffering a rip in his abdominal area, and he faces a spell on the sidelines.
"I noticed a strong prick and it was very painful so I could not continue playing," complained the Basque forward.
"I have been having this problem for some time and yesterday I said 'stop'.
"What will happen now? I don't know, but I think, after rest, I will be able to train and play again."
Athletic doctor Angulo will monitor the injury and make some examinations of Exteberria's injury, and the best solution may be to undergo an operation.
Team-mates Larrainzar and Tiko have already visited German doctor Ulrich Muschawek.
