FAB ADMITS PERUGIA RETURN DESIRE

FABRIZIO RAVANELLI has admitted that he would like end his career at his first club Perugia, but he insists that, that will not be for a while yet as he still has a lot to offer current club Lazio.

The 32-year-old striker, who was born in Perugia, started his illustrious career at the Renato Curi Stsdium where he spent three seasons between 1986 to 1989 and he has amitted a desire to return there before hanging up his boots.

The player, who is known as the "white feather" only came to prominence in 1992 when he joined Juventus after spending the early part of his career in Serie B.

The former Middlesbrough and Marseille ace, who joined Lazio in January last year and helped them to win the title, has been in and out of the first team this season, but he believes that he can still do a job for the Roman club.

Despite being behind Hernan Crespo, Claudio Lopez, Marcelo Salas and Simone Inzaghi in the pecking order for a place in the starting line-up Ravenelli is in no rush to move to Perugia.

"Yes I would like to return to Perugia," said Ravanelli. "I was born there, but at the moment I don't think about it because I have no intention to end my career yet.

"I am convinced that I still have a lot to give here at Lazio," added Ravanelli
