ROVERS RELEGATED

BRISTOL ROVERS were consigned to relegation to the Third Division on Wednesday as they fell to a 2-1 home defeat to Wycombe Wanderers.

The Pirates, who lost 3-0 to Port Vale on Monday, are now four points behind fifth bottom Cambridge with just one game remaining.

The game was a stalemate until the closing stages when Danny Senda netted for The Chairboys 17 minutes from time.

Garry Thompson's woes were compounded six minutes later when Dannie Bulman put Rovers two down.

The home side were given hope when Kevin Gall scored a minute later, but Lawrie Sanchez's side held on for victory. To read a match report, click on a link below.
