NO OFFER BUT HELGUERA HAPPY TO GO HOME

UDINESE midfielder Luis Helguera is the latest player to be linked with Atletico Madrid with a move back to Spain possibly reuniting him with his brother Ivan in the capital.

Luis Helguera has confirmed he has yet to receive an official offer from Atletico, but has heard rumours of a possible move return his home country.

"The truth is that I don't know anything.  I have only heard these rumours.  It (Atletico) is a big club and this is important to me, even though they are in La Segunda."

Helguera moved to Udinese last year after failing to gain a regular place in the Real Zaragoza team.

However, Helguera admits that he would be happy to follow in his older brother's footsteps and move to Madrid, even though it would not be to Real.

The 25-year-old stated: "I am very happy here (in Udinese) and I have four years left on my contract.

Atletico should speak to Udinese and then speak with me.  My dream is to play for a big club and Atletico is one, and even though they are in La Segunda, it would be a great opportunity for me."

"I have always admired Atletico.  I am keen to show that I can play in a big Spanish club."
