RUSHFELDT SET TO LEAVE SANTANDER

SIGURD RUSHFELDT has revealed that he will be looking for a new club in the summer after growing increasingly frustrated at his lack of opportunities at La Liga outfit Racing Santander.

The former Rosenborg ace has been in-and-out of the Santander team this season and he wants a move for regular first team football.

Rushfeldt has ruled out a return to Norway and admitted he had started looking for a new challenge.

"I won't go back to Norway, but I want to play first team football next year, and my agent, Rune Hauge, is looking for a new club for me", said Rushfeldt.

The powerful striker has faced a disappointing two years in Spain and he admitted he has found it hard to keep his spirits up.

"It is hard to keep the motivation up, but I am training and staying in good shape," said Rushfeldt.

Rushfeldt has only got two goals this season and he admitted that it was not good for his confidence.

"It is a personal record in a negative sense", says Rushfeldt.
