SHITTU FACES PLAY-OFF AGONY
CHARLTON defender Daniel Shittu will miss out on the Third Division play-off final because his loan spell with Blackpool has come to an end.
The 20-year-old has spent the maximum time of 93 days at Bloomfield Park, and must now return to The Valley unless Blackpool sign him on a permanent basis.
Loan deals can only be made for a whole season if they are completed before December, and this rule will deny him the chance of appearing at Cardiff against Leyton Orient.
If Steve McMahon was to sign him, The Addicks would not be able to sign him back for at least a year, and Alan Curbishley believes that he could make his first team breakthrough next term.
The Seasiders will face Tommy Taylor's Orient side in the Millennium Stadium on May 26th.
