ALL GO AT MONACO

FALLEN French giants Monaco are poised to sell star defender Philippe Christanval to Barcelona, and are also lining up West Ham's Rigobert Song as a possible replacement.

Spanish giants Barca are keen to shore up their back-line with the 22-year-old French international and Monaco director of sport Henri Biancheri has already confirmed that the two clubs are in talks.

The Catalan side are believed to be willing to offer former Monaco favorite Emmanuel Petit in an exchange deal to secure the services of the in-demand defender.

The principality side are looking for a defender to replace the Barcelona-bound Christanval and Cameroon captain Rigobert Song has emerged as the prime target.

The former Liverpool star has failed to live up to expectations at Upton Park with rival fans patenting the rhyming catchphrase 'It is has all gone Rigobert' to mock the defender's performances.

Song enjoyed a successful spell in France with Metz, and Monaco may feel that he is better suited to the football style in Le Championnat.

Meanwhile, Coventry City midfielder Moustapha Hadji is being linked with a £3.8 million move to French side Bordeaux.

The 29-year-old Morroccan international has publicly admitted that he will be leaving the relegated Sky Blues and a move back to France could suit the former Nancy player.
