XAVI EXTENDS BARCA DEAL
BARCELONA midfielder Xavi Hernandez has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2007.
The 21-year-old Spanish international has been in and out of the first team this season but the inevitable departure of Josep Guardiola could open a window of opportunity for the young starlet.
Xavi was glad to have concluded his future at Camp Nou declaring: "I am happy to have finally signed this deal and can now relax.
"There hasn't been any problems and everything has been resolved very quickly.
"I am satisfied because I am a Barcelona fan and feel that the club value me as a player."
