PEREZ: ZIDANE MOVE IS NOT BEYOND US

REAL MADRID president Florentino Perez has insisted that it is not an impossible task to bring Zinedine Zidane to the club, and indicated that he would be willing break the bank for the Frenchman.

Perez, who ratified the most expensive transfer of all time when he bought Luis Figo from rivals Barcelona, has been warned off of Zidane by Juventus who are unwilling to sell their star man.

However, a confident Perez does not believe that this is the end of the matter and stated that if coach Vicente Del Bosque wanted any player, then it could be arranged.

"If the coach tells me to sign him [Zidane], I will do everything possible to close the deal," said Perez.

"All the best players in the world must play for Real Madrid, and Zidane is one of them.

"Money is not a problem because champions are always a good investment."

However, Juventus supremo Giovanni Agnelli was insistent that this is not true, stating: "I oppose Zidane's departure with all my strength . He's one pure champion and we care a lot about him.

"Should we find a better player, which I consider highly unlikely, we'll see."
