INZAGHI HINTS AT MILAN MOVE
'Superpippo,' currently away with the national side, was asked about his feelings following an uncertain season at Juve, and told that Galliani had waxed lyrical about bringing him to the Giuseppe Meazza.
"I am flattered about the Milan link," said Inzaghi. "It's important to know that [president Silvio] Berlusconi and Galliani still appreciate me.
"If I should change team, AC Milan would be my first choice."
The prolific Italian international then made a statement that sounded suspiciously like a farewell to the club in which he made his name.
"I had a great time at Juventus, I have won a lot and I have scored a lot.
"My contract still runs, but luckily some teams want me.
"However, it is not fair to talk about it now, it is better to discuss about a possible transfer at the end of the season," Inzaghi admitted.
Despite a wealth of goals, Inzaghi has never truly convinced the Juve hierarchy of his worth, and the rise to prominence of young Frenchman David Trezeguet has fuelled rumours that Superpippo would leave.
Galliani's statement that he would like to bring him to Milan is the most overt approach for the marksman, and it seems certain that Juve will at the very least consider any offer for their player.
