VAN HAAREN SET TO MOVE

FEYENOORD and Roda JC have agreed a fee for left back Ramon van Haaren.

The 28-year-old left back from Roda JC now has to negotiate with Feyenoord over a contract, although it's expected that there will be no problems.

Last season, van Haaren was scouted by Ipswich Town several times.

Feyenoord should pay a limited amount because he has got a clause in his contract. His deal with Roda JC is due to expire in the summer of 2004.

Meanwhile, Ajax could be set for a major shake-up with up to 20 players being forced to leave the club.

Technical director Leo Beenhakker has declared that he wants to whittle the squad down from 60 to 40 full-time professionals and also admitted that there has been a lot of interest in some of his players.

Ajax are also set to unveil 18-year-old left winger Ahmed Hossam on Wednesday. The 18-year-old is an Egyptian A-international.
