AMOROSO COMPOUNDS PARMA PROBLEMS

PARMA'S likely player exodus shows no sign of abating - with Brazilian forward Marcio Amoroso admitting he would like to quit the Ennio Tardini and move to Internazionale.

With a fee agreed for Lillian Thuram, and Fabio Cannavaro looking increasingly likely to leave, Parma fans are devastated with the loss of their stars - and news that Amoroso has joined the dissenters will hit the club hard.

The 26-year-old Brazilian, who shot to fame with 22 goals in 33 Serie A games for Udinese in 1998-99, has never really recaptured this prolific spell - scoring 10 times in his 37 league appearances for Parma since his £15 million move.

However, the gifted marksman's decision to issue what basically amounts to a come-and-get-me plea to Inter once more points to the major problems at the Gialloblu.

"I've played alongside Ronaldo before when we won the Copa America," Amoroso stated after scoring in the 2-1 defeat by Verona on Sunday.

"I certainly wouldn't mind playing with him again. He's a great player who deserves to be back amongst the best players in the world - where he was before his injury.

"I have a contract with Parma and I can't really talk about possible moves until after next Sunday. However, I have been contacted by a number of sides and that is certainly pleasing."
