PEARSON'S HULL REVOLUTION CONTINUES

Faroe Islands skipper Julian Johnson has earned 46 caps for his country and has joined the club for a fee of £50,000 from Norwegian First Division outfit Sogndal.

The midfielder is joined at the club by two more new faces; striker Gary Alexander has completed his switch from Swindon Town, and Bolton Wanderers keeper Matty Glennon has also made the trip to Boothferry Park also for £50,000.

"Julian has a tremendous work rate coupled with pace and strength," said City chairman Adam Pearson (pictured).

"His attitude and experience will also be a real bonus to what will be a relatively young side.

"We are delighted to have Matt Glennon at the club as he in one of the most highly-rated keepers outside the Premiership.

"He enjoyed a 25-game loan spell at Carlisle last season and won their Player of the Year award. He was also one of the main reasons behind their successful battle against relegation."

In spite of the club having already spent £450,000 on transfer fees this summer, Pearson went on to reveal that the club is still pursuing Chesterfield's Ryan Williams and another un-named First Division midfielder.

"We have an offer in for a left-sided first division player, and still have £150,000 on the table Chesterfield's Ryan Williams.

"But it appears as though they have now decided not to sell Ryan after initially accepting our offer.

"This is probably due to the loan of £200,000 they have taken out with their local council. But we are lining up a replacement right winger who we believe will turn out to be equally as exciting as Ryan could be for us.

"There will be another five joining them before the start of the season."

It would seem that these are indeed exciting days for fans of the East Riding club.
