MARSEILLE SET FOR TRANSFER FRENZY

MARSEILLE seem set to be involved in a frenzy of transfer activity following Bernard Tapie`s appointment as sechnical director.

Young defender Seydou Keita has signed a contract with Lorient after being loaned there last season and Lucas Bernardi will sign a four-year deal with Monaco.

The two clubs came to an agreement over a 60 million Francs transfer fee for the 23-year-old Argentinian defensive midfielder who only spent four months in l'OM.

There has also been talk that the ambitious club have launched a bid for Galatasaray hit-man Mario Jardel, which would see Ibrahima Bakayoko, Frank Dumas and Pierre Issa go in the opposite direction.

There have been suggestions that Standard Liege full backs Ivica Dragutinovic, 25, and 20-year-old Joseph Yobo could be joining the former Champions League winners.

As l'OM chairman Robert Louis-Dreyfus owns this side, a transfer should not be too hard to go through.

25-year-old Niort playmaker Abdelnasser Ouadah may also arrive at the Stade Velodrome, though others seem set to leave club.
