TOMIC TO RETURN TO ROMA
YUGOSLAVIAN international Ivan Tomic is to return to Italian giants Roma, after Alaves failed to agree a fee with the Roman club.
Tomic has spent the last season on loan at the Vitoria club and had been looking for a permanent move, which coach Mane wanted, but the Uefa Cup finalists have admitted defeat.
"Alaves have advised me that they are unable to meet Roma's asking price," said Tomic.
President Gonzalo Anton confirmed that Tomic would not be moving to Alaves.
"Alaves feel that the demand was excessive and they have told Roma that I will be returning to them after the final game of the Spanish season," Anton said.
