ZE ROBERTO REVEALS LA CORUNA INTEREST

BAYER LEVERKUSEN star Ze Roberto has, for the first time, confirmed that he wants a return to Spanish football and paved the way for a transfer to Deportivo La Coruna.

The Brazilian international was recently linked with a £8 million move to the dethroned Spanish champions after becoming disillusioned with the off-the-field activities at the Nordrhein-Westfalen club.

The 26-year-old midfield dynamo has spent three seasons at Bayer and is keen to play in the Primera Liga, declaring: "My family and I would like to go back to Spain, in particular my wife. I know that there is contact between Deportivo and Bayer and I expect that a decision will be made shortly."

Depor are believed to have tabled an £8 million bid for the the former Real Madrid player but Leverkusen are reportedly asking for nearer £10 million.
