TRIO IN FOR MALZ

STEFAN MALZ may have had limited opportunities at Arsenal but he is on the wanted list of several clubs in Germany and Italy.

Kaiserslautern, Werder Bremen and Sampdoria are all keen to end his Highbury hell by making bids to sign the 29-year-old during the close season.

After only 14 appearances for The Gunners, Malz could be heading for the exit door as Arsene Wenger reshapes his squad ahead of a tilt at the Premiership title which has been Manchester United's property for the past three seasons.

Werder made a move for the midfielder in April but Kaiserlsautern are also now in the frame for his signature, and Sampdoria will try and persuade the former 1860 Munich man to trade North London for Italy's Serie B.

The Gunners may demand a fee in excess of £750,000 for somebody who has largely been a reserve team player at Highbury.
