PSG COMPLETE HEINZE SWOOP

ACCORDING to reports from Spain, Real Valladolid have agreed to transfer Argentinian defender Gabriel Heinze to Paris Saint Germain for a fee of 700 million pesetas (£2.57 million).

The executive vice-chairman of the Spanish club, Carlos Suares is believed to have come to an agreement with representatives of PSG in Madrid.

The 28-year-old arrived in Valladolid from Newell's Old Boys at the beginning of the 1997-98 season but failed to settle and went on loan to Sporting Lisbon for a year in 1998-99.

However, Heinze returned to Spain and seemed to have matured into a solid and dependable defender, encouraging PSG to make a bid for his services.
