ANELKA WOULD LOVE REAL RETURN

NICOLAS ANELKA says he would relish the prospect of a return to Real Madrid after his big-money move to PSG turned into a nightmare.

The sulky former Arsenal hit-man signed for the French side after a year with Real Madrid, whom he helped win the Champions League, but his return to France ended in disappointment as PSG finished ninth in Le Championnat and were knocked out of the Champions League at the second group stage.

However, despite his disappointing season, he is happy to stay in Paris, but would jump at the chance to rejoin Real just a year after he left in a £20 million deal.

"I miss playing for the best club in the world. If Real want me, I would return without hesitating," the controversial Frenchman said.

"I would start again at zero. It is impossible to make the same errors twice. My fellow team-mates would see a new man.

"I now realise what I have lost and that I need to play there."
