BENFICA PONDER FAGIANI MOVE
BENFICA are believed to be interested in Argentinian Daniel Fagiani, who has played for Atletico Madrid this season, on loan from Valencia, according to reports in Portugal.
Fagiani has an European Union passport, which has increased Benfica's interest in the player, especially because of the amount of foreign players the Portuguese side currently has in its ranks.
The reports indicated that Benfica had already contacted the player on Thursday, travelling to Madrid to speak with his representatives.
Furthermore, Fagiani is not believed to be in the plans of Valencia's new manager, Rafael Benitez. Indeed, a package deal involving Swedish defender Joachim Bjorklund and the Argentinian may be on the cards.
