TUZZIO SET FOR L`OM SWITCH
MARSEILLE have confirmed that they are close to completing the signing of defender Eduardo Tuzzio from Argentinian champions San Lorenzo.
The fee and length of contract have yet to be disclosed, but the 27-year-old is expected to move to the Stade Velodrome for the start of next season.
Tuzzio is accustomed to playing as a sweeper, and has performed admirably for San Lorenzo for the last eight seasons.
The highlight to date has been the club`s Clausura championship success this season, and he will hope to transfer the winning habit to the South of France.
The arrival of Tuzzio could accelerate the departure of Patrick Blondeau, who has been linked with a move to Gianluca Vialli`s Watford.
Blondeau recently admitted that he had contact with an English club, and rumours sweeping through France suggest that The Hornets are the mystery bidders.
