McPHEE DEAL SOFTENS NAYLOR BLOW
Naylor was given a 24-hour deadline over the weekend by manager Brian Horton and chairman Bill Bell, but he rejected the new terms which were placed before him - prompting Horton to secure the signing of McPhee as cover.
The 20-year-old has yet to make his bow in English league football, although he did gain valuable experience last season whilst on-loan with Scottish Premier League outfit St Mirren where his performances earned him a Player of the Month award.
Horton has also completed the signing of Macclesfield central defender Rae Ingram on a free transfer under the Bosman ruling.
In spite of having fought a successful battle against ME, Ingram made over 150 appearances for The Silkmen and will renew acquaintances with Horton after the pair initially worked together at Manchester City.
