LUGGY LOOKING AT CREWE'S COLLINS?

Sturrock - nicknamed Luggy - has held his cards close to his chest all summer regarding his moves in the transfer market, but reports eminating from the area suggest he could be set for a move to the West Country.

So far, Sturrock has brought just one new face to the club in the form of Livingston defender Graham Coughlan, but he has often stated his desire to extend his playing staff with further signings.

Collins, 23, is a product of the club's hugely successful youth academy, but has found first team opportunities hard to come by because of a string of niggling injuries.

Meanwhile, veteran Argyle striker Sean McCarthy is being linked with a move to Devon rivals Torquay United and Exeter City.

The burly frontrunner, who scored in derby clashes against both club's last season, was released by The Pilgrims at the end of the season and is keen to stay in the region.

It is known both clubs are in the market for a striker, but with The Gulls expected to announce David Graham as a new signing soon, The Grecians are more likely to sign him.
