JONES DECIDES AGAINST KIDDY MOVE

STEVE JONES proposed transfer to Kidderminster Harriers has collapsed after the player decided against joining Jan Molby's side.

Molby thought he had concluded a deal for Jones, who was handed a free transfer by Third Division rivals Swansea City, but the player performed an amazing U-turn and decided against a move to Aggborough.

The 31-year-old defender had agreed a two-year deal with Molby on Friday, but in a call to the former Liverpool midfielder, he revealed he would be moving elsewhere.

"It's very disappointing," Molby said, "Sometime between agreeing to sign for us on Friday and today he has had a 'better' offer and has decided not to come here.

"He didn't really give me a reason though he didn't deny he had another club lined up.

"But that's football unfortunately!"
