DAWS SIGNS FOR MILLERS

ROTHERHAM have completed the signing of out-of-contract Bury midfielder Nick Daws.

The 31-year-old has commited to a three-year contract with the club following extensive negotiations with assistant manager John Breckin.

Daws will now link up with Rotherham's three other summer additions when he reports for training alongside Mike Pollitt, Rhodri Jones and former Bury team-mate Chris Swailes.

The vastly experienced former Altrincham man made over 400 appearances for The Shakers after joining them for £10,000 from the Conference side in 1992.

Meanwhile, Swansea winger Stuart Roberts has joined The Millers for a week-long trial spell.

The fleet-footed 20-year-old has been linked with a variety of clubs including Charlton, Grimsby and Millwall, although Ronnie Moore will hand him the chance to shine at Millmoor.
