HERTHA BERLIN are reportedly weighing up a move for Brazilian defender Leonardo Bastos.
The five-time Brazilian international currently plays for FC Santos and looks set to join the mass contingent of Samba stars in the Bundesliga.
In the latest count there were 16 Brazil-born players plying their trade in the German top-flight.
"Negotiations are under way," confirmed the 25-year-old who hopes to link up with compatriots Alex Alves and Marcelinho in Berlin.
The fee for the defender is estimated at 14 Million Marks (£4.3 million) and Leo believes such a figure would prove too tempting for Santos.
"You can not turn down such an offer," stated the left-sided defender.
