EMBLEN AGREES TO NORWICH SWITCH

NORWICH have continued their plans for the 2001-02 season with the capture of Neil Emblen from Wolves for £500,000.

It is a useful move for The Canaries to get the versatile Emblen, whose fee will rise to £580,000 depending on appearances.

The 30-year-old has failed to make much of an impression on Wolves boss Dave Jones, with his string of injuries, leading to him being allowed to move on.

Norwich initially made a move on Emblen last week, only for quibbles over personal terms holding up the transfer.

Emblen has played for Wolves twice in his career, along with Crystal Palace and Millwall and he has now agreed to a three-year contract.

Jones was magnanimous in his assessment of Emblen, saying: "He has been a good servant and I can only speak highly of him as a person.

"But I have not see the best of him because of injuries."
