SINCLAIR BAFFLED BY REPORTS
WEST HAM UNITED star Trevor Sinclair has moved swiftly to deny claims that he is on the verge of signing for Newcastle United.
Claims had been made that the speedy ex-Blackpool winger was to become The Magpies' big summer signing, but the player has been quick to refute the claims.
"To be honest I know nothing about it, Sinclair told the West Ham official website.
"I've not been reading the papers because we are training all day, but people have said to me this bid or that has gone in.
"I'm definitely happy at West Ham and looking forward to the friendly game on Friday.
"I'm not leaving unless I'm told I'm being sold, which I haven't been, so the way I look at it I'm a West Ham player and can't wait for my first West Ham game this pre-season.
"I'm looking forward to the start of the season."
