GUNNERS CONFIRM SILVINHO EXIT
The £10 million samba star looks like being the victim of Arsene Wenger's big-spending summer, and has been told that he can leave the club.
Gunners vice-chairman David Dein has confirmed that the club have begun the process of selling the 27-year-old, with Barcelona, Inter, Parma and Deportivo La Coruna all interested in signing him.
"Silvinho is in the early stages of being transferred but we do not want to say anything which could jeopardize the deal," said Dein. .
Manager Arsene Wenger sees Ashley Cole as the long-term choice at left back, and has let the Brazilian know that his first team place cannot be guarenteed.
Cole has been a revelation at Highbury this season and his form has led to him being included in Sven Goran Eriksson's England side, and looks to have led to Silvinho leaving North London.
