BACK TO THE FUTURE FOR CREWE
CREWE ALEXANDRA have gone back to the future after agreeing terms with former stars Geoff Thomas and Wayne Collins.
The two midfielders, available on Bosman transfers, should sign contracts with The Railwaymen next week, in preparation for their Division One campaign.
37-year-old former England international Thomas (pictured) is out of action through injury, but he is to tie up his move after leaving Notts County this summer.
Collins has had a number of clubs on his trail since quitting Fulham, and he joined Preston for some of their pre-season preparation.
However, Crewe have re-emerged as favourites to clinch his signature now that he is travelling to Ireland with the rest of the squad to embark on Alex's summer tour.
