SPORTING UNHAPPY WITH SIMAO
Sporting officials believe the club is entitled to $3 million as the Portuguese international winger has refused to disclose his salary at Estadio da Luz.
According to a clause in Sabrosa's deal with Barcelona two years ago, Sporting are entitled to know the terms of any deal which involves him departing Camp Nou, and the clause also stipulates that the player must reveal his new salary.
The wide man has defied Sporting's wishes, feeling it is a plan to delay the transfer.
"That's my business," he stated. "What do they want to know my salary for?"
Meanwhile, financial problems at Napoli could lead to Jose Luis Vidigal heading for Sporting, as he has never hidden his passion for the Lisbon outfit.
Although the defender has only played in Italy for one season, Sporting are keen to take him back and he has been in Portugal for the past month, as he recovers from a long-standing knee problem, under the strict supervision of the team's staff. This has not pleased Napoli as Vidigal, of course, remains their player.
"Everything is okay with Napoli general manager Gigi Pavese," countered the 28-year-old. "I talked to him on Friday to discuss my trip to Italy for the recovery evaluation and he was as nice as ever."
