RIVALDO TO MISS CHAMPIONS LEAGUE START
BRAZILIAN star Rivaldo will not play for Barcelona during the third stage of the qualifying tournament for the Champions League.
Barcelona will play Wisla Cracovia in the competition, however, Rivaldo will be with the Brazilian squad who play Paraguay in a crucial World Cup qualifier on August 15.
The samba star could also be involved in Brazil's friendly with Panama, although with other European sides complaining about this match the CBF has a battle on its hands.
Parma, Bayer Leverkusen and Barcelona had asked CBF to allow Junior, Lucio and Rivaldo not to play in the first match, but the Brazilian Football Association has rejected their request.
