REAL AXE OGNJENOVIC

REAL MADRID have confirmed that Perica Ognjenovic is on his way out of Santiago Bernabeu, after dropping the winger from their first team squad.

The Spanish champions reported on their official website that they have "reached an agreement" with the Yugoslavian international, in order to relegate him from the party that will compete in next season's La Liga.

A talented wide man who was tipped for a massive future when breaking through at Crvena Zvezda, the 24-year-old needs a move to kickstart his career.

Ognjenovic was loaned to Valladolid last term but will probably now be seeking a permanent switch.

After playing in the World Cup when only 22, more has been expected of the man from Smederevska Palanka.

The Yugoslavian is expected to return to his homeland, even though he claims to have offers from Portuguese and other Spanish teams.

Strikers Elvir Baljic, Edwin Congo and Rodrigo Fabri, along with youth players Javier Dorado and Alberto Rivera are expected to be the next player to have their contracts terminated.  All were named on Del Bosque's unwanted list and it would seem it is only a matter of time before they leave.
