MIAMI WANT GAZZA

MIAMI FUSION boss Ray Hudson is offering Paul Gascoigne the opportunity to prolong his career in the United States, even though Everton insist the midfielder can still get fit enough to play in The Premiership.

The 34-year-old has been the subject of tabloid speculation that his top flight days may be coming to an end, something vehemently denied by Toffees boss Walter Smith, and Hudson is launching a renewed bid to bring the Geordie genius to Major League Soccer.

"I have put calls in to Walter Smith to talk seriously to him about it," Hudson told The Times.

"I haven't heard anything back as yet but it is something that I want to put to Everton and to Paul himself.

"I think it would be the perfect move for him.

"If he wants to enjoy his football and lifestyle again, there is nowhere better.

"I know because I'm a Newcastle lad and made a similar move towards the end of my career."

Gascoigne is still hoping to force his way into the Everton starting line-up with the big Premiership kick-off only a week and a half away.
