ELOI SHOCK AT MONACO TREATMENT
Didier Deschamps is looking to turn things around at Stade Louis II after a poor last season, and has told a number of players that they are surplus to requirements.
Eloi, however, says that he was shocked at the treatment he received as he was forced to train alone and has considering leaving the game as a result.
"I had to train alone with reserve-team coach Frederic Barilaro," said Eloi. "I asked to train with the rest of the squad but they refused.
"I would have liked Didier Deschamps to see me and judge me and I would have accepted his decision then, but they did this before that and I am living with the unfairness.
"I am very frustrated and have even asked myself if I should stop playing football."
The 27-year-old, who made just five appearances last season, has reportedly attracted interest from England but says that only Portsmouth made a firm offer, but he decided against a move to Fratton Park.
"Only Portsmouth made interesting propositions at financial level, but I didn't participate in any discussions.
"It was my choice, I could get more money than in Monaco, but I refused for footballing reasons."
