BOOTH CONFIRMS CARDIFF BID

EXCLUSIVE
ANDY BOOTH has exclusively revealed to planetfootball.com that he and Huddersfield Town team-mate Chris Lucketti are the subject of bids from Cardiff City.

The ambitious Welsh side are looking to strengthen the side ahead of the new season, and have made an audacious attempted double swoop on The Terriers.

Lucketti is said to be already having talks at Ninian Park, but Booth told planetfootball that he was yet to be told of the deal and was waiting to hear from Huddersfield officials.

"I've heard of the bid from Cardiff," Booth told planetfootball.

"But I haven't been told anything concrete by the management.

"I don't know about a move at the moment, I'd obviously have to consider a lot of things.

"The club haven't said that they want to sell me or not - you'd have to ask the manager and probably the chairman about what happens next."

Booth joined his hometown club on transfer deadline day last season from Sheffield Wednesday, but unsuccessful in his bid to keep them in the First Division.

The loss of Booth, along with their skipper would be a massive blow for the West Yorkshire club, as they prepare to mount a serious promotion challenge.

Lucketti was reportedly in Wales on Thursday night for talks with Bluebirds owner Sam Hammam and manager Alan Cork.

Cardiff have already made a number of big signings this summer as they bolster their promotion winning squad from last sesaon, with Manchester City's Spencer Prior and Graham Kavanagh of Stoke City costing in excess of £1.5 million.
