MURRAY DISMISSES FLO FULHAM TALK

RANGERS chairman David Murray has slammed suggestions that Norwegian striker Tore Andre Flo is set for a move to Fulham, insisting that he is only interested in building the squad rather than selling players.

The Norwegian international, a club record signing from Chelsea last season, has failed to reach peak form in the SPL, but Murray is convinced he has a part to play and has no intention of selling.

When asked to comment on Fulham`s reported interest, Murray said: "There is no truth in this story at all. We haven't heard anything from Fulham and if there was anything the player's agent would have spoken to me.

"We're happy with Tore Andre Flo and there's no need to add to this speculation. We haven't even had an enquiry about him and he's definitely not for sale."

Murray, meanwhile, has confirmed that he will listen to manager Dick Advocaat, if he feels it is necessary to add to the Ibrox squad.

Advocaat is sure to contact his chairman following the news that captain Barry Ferguson and defender Craig Moore face lengthy spells on the sidelines with Achilles and knee injuries respectively.

Advocaat bemoaned the injury situation at Ibrox, commenting: "Everyone was fit at the start and the same players have become injured again.

"There is pressure with games, away games and travelling, and not everyone can handle that.

"Hopefully, we can change that but it has more to do with the individual. It's a physical problem and we need better players in the squad so we can rotate a little bit more.

"That's what I have to discuss with him (Murray).

"If we can do that, with two or three good players, then we could rotate a little bit more and give players a little bit more rest.

"It's what Liverpool are doing and it's what we have to do as well.

"It's nothing to do with the commitment of the players. Everybody loves the club but physical-wise not everyone can do it."

Murray has given his Dutch manager hope, by saying: "If we have a problem and this injury situation gets worse, I will not think twice about buying a £6 million Michael Ball and another £6 million if required.

There is money set aside and we are going to strengthen, there is no doubt about that.

"Nobody loves the club more than I do and we have seen a lot of success together."
