DUNFERMLINE: NO SAINTS BID FOR ROSSI
DUNFERMLINE ATHLETIC have told planetfootball.com that they have not received any offers from Southampton for Moroccan defender Youssef Rossi.
The player himself has stated that he has discussed the possibility of a move to Southampton, but Pars general manager Paul D'Mello has stated that they have heard nothing from the English side.
"There has been no contact between Southampton and Dunfermline Athletic, none at all," said D'Mello.
"Obviously if Southampton do have an interest, they will contact us.
"There has been no offer for his services and until that happens he continues to be our player.
"He is registered to us and he remains our player.
"It would be fair to say if someone came up with an offer acceptable to Dunfermline Athletic football club, then we will look at it, as we would for any player."
So despite claims that Rossi was close to a move to Southampton, it appears that he has not actually talked to the South Coast club, who are yet to confirm whether they are interested or not.
